It has been nearly two years since the last major release of our flagship Opera browser. Since that time, we’ve experienced significant growth, not only on the Desktop, but also on Opera Mini. More than 20-25 million people are using Opera on their computer today. More than 45 million people have used Opera Mini.

With this surge of growth, we here at Opera are coming closer to realizing our mission of providing One Web for everyone, anywhere they are, and whichever device they use. With Opera 9.5, we introduce Opera Link which merges your browsing experience between your computer and your mobile phone. Once again, we are releasing by far the most innovative browser.

These achievements would not be possible without the support of you, the community. You’ve given us countless feedback as we’ve developed and refined Opera 9.5. You’ve spent hours testing alphas, betas, and release candidates. Your help is essential to make great products. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your tireless contributions. We would not be here without you.
