Year 1999 was the last time I read an novel ,the school library was well stocked up with my favorite genre “Fiction - Mysteries”.I had gone through Hardy Boys to Famous Five ,even secretly read a Nancy Drew.
Traveling in the trains these days (I’ve rarely traveled in trains all my life ,school,college was walk able distance) ,saw quite a few people reading novels . Rather a “novel” idea IMO ,way better than listening to corporate pot pouri and stock exchange theories and also add random staring at random faces.
Had a few books in mind did some googling on the current bestseller fiction books ,finally decided on 2 books. So one fine day after the catching the movie Transformers I get into the Book Store I hit the Bestsellers Fiction shelf. There was no sign of the books I had decided on ,asked the bookstore guy about the books and he had no clue about them .
Not wanting to leave the shop without a book I browsed through the fiction section for an hour and finally this book - John Sandford - Broken Prey was in my shopping bag.
John Sandford has written a series of books called the Prey Series this being his second last. The Stories revolve around the hero the character called Lucas Davenport who is a senior police investigator ,drives around in a Porsche and yea there are hot car chases included. This book was rather fun to read ,twists and turns till the end ,keeps you hooked onto the book.
I would definitely recommend you this author although I would like to warn you that this series of books sometimes contain explicit language.
